LOG LINE: A Real life story in the vein of THE ROOKIE meets SLAP SHOT.

SYNOPSIS: Gordie Howe was scoring goals in the NHL when Joe Louis was the heavyweight champ and Joe DiMaggio was playing center field for the Yankees.

Twenty-odd years later (in 1974) Gordie came out of retirement to play on the same team with two of his sons, Mark and Marty Howe.

Together they created history as the first father-son teammates in professional sports, and they did it with flair.

This is the story of the Howes and that first whirlwind year in Houston, when their lives were turned upside-down with a new city, a new league, and a new dynamic in the household.

In the season to come, Gordie would go on to win the MVP, Mark the Rookie of the Year, and all of them would come away with one of the most unforgettable events in all of sports history.
